Jānis Lielais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olavs Eliass's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Genaro Ponciano made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jāzeps Pics sent off a good shot on target. After 16 played minutes FC Iecēni got a freekick which was hit by Viesturs Pilāns. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Iecēni's goalkeeper Genaro Ponciano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Genaro Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andžejs Baumerts in the 21st minute of the match. Uvis Svitiņš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jānis Lielais having to interfere. Jāzeps Pics could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Genaro Ponciano made a huge save. Genaro Ponciano made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Andžejs Baumerts sent off a good shot on target. FC Iecēni's Genaro Ponciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FC Iecēni from getting a goal against them. Genaro Ponciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andžejs Baumerts in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Reinholds Jaunzems dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Genaro Ponciano, 2-0. The shot was stopped by Genaro Ponciano but with some difficulty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marek Hamšík made a kick off. FC Iecēni made a substitution. Osvalds Borskis replaced Olafs Buncis. Genaro Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinholds Jaunzems, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Jāzeps Pics made a precise shot to the right of Genaro Ponciano. FC Iecēni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 67th minute Andžejs Baumerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Ponciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SK Annenieki's Vilis Lettlands was substituted for Indris Tomass. FC Iecēni's attentive Uvis Svitiņš managed to snatch the ball when Aigars Builis made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. Genaro Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andžejs Baumerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 94 played minutes FC Iecēni got a freekick which was hit by Viktors Behmans. In the 97th minute of the match SK Annenieki got a corner. FC Iecēni's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reinholds Jaunzems ran over to the corner to take the kick. There was no doubt that SK Annenieki were the better team. SK Annenieki's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
