Olimpo's Bronius Kasiulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rapolas Pečiukas in the 55th minute of play. Bronius Kasiulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rapolas Pečiukas in the 58th minute of play. Benjaminas Alsys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nerūnas Gruzdas having to interfere. Nerūnas Gruzdas made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Benjaminas Alsys sent off a good shot on target. Bronius Kasiulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gediminas Meškauskas in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Benjaminas Alsys ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nerūnas Gruzdas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Rapolas Pečiukas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaidotas Auga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpo's Benjaminas Alsys got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Olimpo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
