Rolandas Balabonas started the match with the kick off. The supporters of FK Slupariai booed when Geri DALGIAI III was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vytaras Baravykas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ovidijus Rindzevičius hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Vytaras Baravykas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the game, one of Geri DALGIAI III:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aidas Alūzas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Geri DALGIAI III's Šarūnas Kalakauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Bremming in the 15th minute of play. Dalius Baltrūnas hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Geri DALGIAI III's goal looked a bit too open when Aidas Alūzas came free, but Šarūnas Kalakauskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aidas Alūzas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Geri DALGIAI III's zone, Adomas Dovydėnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Šarūnas Kalakauskas came out of the goal and Adomas Dovydėnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The FK Slupariai fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when FK Slupariai's Göran Bremming looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Šarūnas Kalakauskas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adomas Dovydėnas's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Tauras Marcinkevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Marius Beniušis in the 35th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Šarūnas Kalakauskas's left hand side. Adomas Dovydėnas struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Šarūnas Kalakauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Slupariai. Adomas Dovydėnas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Geri DALGIAI III players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FK Slupariai were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göran Bremming to make the kick off. When Aidas Alūzas came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the FK Slupariai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aidas Alūzas couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes Geri DALGIAI III got a freekick which was hit by Vytautas Ivanauskas. Šarūnas Kalakauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aidas Alūzas in the 61st minute of play. Adomas Dovydėnas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Šarūnas Kalakauskas made a huge save. Adomas Dovydėnas might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Šarūnas Kalakauskas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adomas Dovydėnas ran back to his position shaking his head. Aidas Alūzas took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Šarūnas Kalakauskas. Šarūnas Kalakauskas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 80 minutes into the match, Göran Bremming dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Šarūnas Kalakauskas, 0-5. A collision led to Geri DALGIAI III getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dalius Baltrūnas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Geri DALGIAI III's zone, Adomas Dovydėnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Šarūnas Kalakauskas came out of the goal and Adomas Dovydėnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FK Slupariai's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
