In the 6th minute, Nerūnas Momkus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gintautas Martinkus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gintautas Martinkus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauras Dainavičius in the 10th minute of play. Tauras Dainavičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gintautas Martinkus having to interfere. Gintautas Martinkus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nerūnas Momkus in the 13th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FK Milgavdze's Tauras Dainavičius in the 16th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gintautas Martinkus was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Real Betis Balompié through an amazing save. Faustas Dargis struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Zenonas Širvinskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Betis Balompié. Real Betis Balompié's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tauras Dainavičius 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Eigirdas Gureckas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zenonas Širvinskas having to make a save. Zenonas Širvinskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustas Dargis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, FK Milgavdze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eligijus Ginevičius to maneuver through the defense. Gintautas Martinkus didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Tauras Dainavičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gintautas Martinkus having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Tauras Dainavičius rounded Real Betis Balompié's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tauras Dainavičius to strike the kick off in the second half. FK Milgavdze's Nerūnas Momkus got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldas Bardauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eigirdas Gureckas came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Real Betis Balompié fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eigirdas Gureckas couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd match minute, Real Betis Balompié was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustas Dargis to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Tauras Dainavičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gintautas Martinkus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gintautas Martinkus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauras Dainavičius in the 81st minute of play. Nerūnas Momkus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nerūnas Momkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gintautas Martinkus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vismantas Andriekus during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. There was no doubt that FK Milgavdze were the better team. FK Milgavdze's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
