During the 7th minute of the match Petras Ostrauskas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Petras Ostrauskas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Epson booed when FC Darina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petras Ostrauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adas Marčiauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romas Grikšas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Bronius Bikulčius came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Epson fans jumped to their feet. Rimas Balandis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardas Mačiulis having to interfere. In the 27th minute Bronius Bikulčius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardas Mačiulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Vėjas Katkus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Epson's supporters rose to their feet, but Vėjas Katkus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardas Mačiulis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the game, Kristijonas Kelmys cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bernardas Mačiulis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vėjas Katkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Bernardas Mačiulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardas Mačiulis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rimas Balandis's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristijonas Kelmys in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardas Mačiulis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bronius Bikulčius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardas Mačiulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristijonas Kelmys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bronius Bikulčius took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardas Mačiulis. Bernardas Mačiulis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Bronius Bikulčius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardas Mačiulis having to interfere. Epson's Rimas Balandis got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristijonas Kelmys made a kick off. Bernardas Mačiulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bronius Bikulčius in the 56th minute of play. When Valdemaras Danilaitis fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Darina's protests and gave Valdemaras Danilaitis a yellow card for diving instead. FC Darina's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Vėjas Katkus scored to the left of an out of position Bernardas Mačiulis, making the score, 0-4. In the 65th minute, Kristijonas Kelmys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Kristijonas Kelmys came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Epson fans jumped to their feet. FC Darina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rimas Balandis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. A hard shot 74 in the game by Vėjas Katkus from a close distance when the talented Bernardas Mačiulis managed to make a qualified save. FC Darina's players were relieved. If Bronius Bikulčius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bronius Bikulčius in the 77th minute of play forced FC Darina's goalkeeper Bernardas Mačiulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Darina's zone, Bronius Bikulčius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardas Mačiulis came out of the goal and Bronius Bikulčius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rimas Balandis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Rimas Balandis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardas Mačiulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bronius Bikulčius in the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Vėjas Katkus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Epson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vėjas Katkus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Epson's Bronius Bikulčius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardas Mačiulis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rimas Balandis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Epson's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
