An unexpectedly hard shot by Miglius Čiras in the 4th minute of play forced FBK Shyaulyay's goalkeeper Regimantas Garbužas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldas Lapkauskas charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Miglius Čiras came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the GARGZDU FUTBOLO AKADEMIJA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miglius Čiras couldn't finish the play. When Gvidonas Čepauskas fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FBK Shyaulyay's protests and gave Gvidonas Čepauskas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FBK Shyaulyay getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gvidonas Čepauskas hit a great ball. Motiejus Meškauskas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Regimantas Garbužas. FBK Shyaulyay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FBK Shyaulyay's goalkeeper Regimantas Garbužas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Regimantas Garbužas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rytis Nakčiunas in the 36th minute. Miglius Čiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Regimantas Garbužas having to interfere. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind GARGZDU FUTBOLO AKADEMIJA's goalkeeper Gabrielius Bajorūnas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Juras Jurkus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabrielius Bajorūnas was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Gabrielius Bajorūnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigitas Deniušis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Miglius Čiras made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FBK Shyaulyay getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Erlandas Dabrikas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FBK Shyaulyay's zone, Rytis Nakčiunas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Regimantas Garbužas came out of the goal and Rytis Nakčiunas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FBK Shyaulyay's Juras Jurkus got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to GARGZDU FUTBOLO AKADEMIJA getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bronislovas Baravykas hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juras Jurkus got free with Gabrielius Bajorūnas in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Regimantas Garbužas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miglius Čiras in the 64th minute of play. GARGZDU FUTBOLO AKADEMIJA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sigitas Deniušis 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Rytis Nakčiunas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Regimantas Garbužas having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Bronislovas Baravykas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, FBK Shyaulyay's goal looked a bit too open when Miglius Čiras came free, but Regimantas Garbužas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rytis Nakčiunas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Regimantas Garbužas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to FBK Shyaulyay getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Haroldas Lapkauskas hit a great ball. Miglius Čiras hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Juras Jurkus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GARGZDU FUTBOLO AKADEMIJA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sigitas Deniušis 97 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3.
