The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Vainutas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saulius Gargasas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linas Valeckas in the 17th minute of play forced Vainutas FC's goalkeeper Vidmantas Jazukevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vainutas FC's Vidmantas Jazukevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linas Valeckas in the 19th minute of play. Eidvilas Astrauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Sikstas Gerulskis made a huge save. Airūnas Mažulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sikstas Gerulskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justinas Stulgys in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justinas Stulgys was the one to do the kick off. Vainutas FC's Vidmantas Jazukevičius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Vainutas FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justinas Stulgys in the 55th minute of play forced Tilvikai's goalkeeper Sikstas Gerulskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justinas Stulgys couldn't finish the play. If Eidvilas Astrauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justinas Stulgys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sikstas Gerulskis having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Vainutas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Linas Valeckas came free, but Vidmantas Jazukevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Žilvinas Garlauskas fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tilvikai's protests and gave Žilvinas Garlauskas a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Tilvikai got a freekick which was hit by Žilvinas Garlauskas. If Eidvilas Astrauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sikstas Gerulskis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justinas Stulgys, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Vainutas FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
