But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beržas Valys couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Beržas Valys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th match minute, Nevezis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldas Geralavičius to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Girkantas Lemežis in the 32nd minute of play forced Nevezis's goalkeeper Hubertas Birutis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Beržas Valys reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hubertas Birutis. The goal made the score 2-0. Beržas Valys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubertas Birutis having to interfere. Girkantas Lemežis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Girkantas Lemežis in the 44th minute of play forced Nevezis's goalkeeper Hubertas Birutis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Girkantas Lemežis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hubertas Birutis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Girkantas Lemežis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beržas Valys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubertas Birutis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Girkantas Lemežis in the 65th minute of play forced Nevezis's goalkeeper Hubertas Birutis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Nevezis booed when Squadra azzurra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatas Grabauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beržas Valys in the 73rd minute of play forced Nevezis's goalkeeper Hubertas Birutis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Girkantas Lemežis in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hubertas Birutis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beržas Valys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubertas Birutis having to interfere. If Girkantas Lemežis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Squadra azzurra 's Beržas Valys in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beržas Valys in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hubertas Birutis saved Nevezis from getting behind. Squadra azzurra 's Aras Jančiauskas got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute Beržas Valys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubertas Birutis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
