The nice shot from Karolis Mažutavičius in the 17thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Zenonas Buinevičius had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Josef Lindholm put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zenonas Buinevičius. In the 20th match minute, FK Siauliu Fanai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anicetas Labanauskas to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes, Laimutis Geldutis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC VYTAUTAS and the FK Siauliu Fanai players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zenonas Buinevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Lindholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Karolis Mažutavičius made the kick off in the second half. Alfonsas Bilius hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes of play, FK Siauliu Fanai's Karolis Mažutavičius made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zenonas Buinevičius was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute Josef Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenonas Buinevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zenonas Buinevičius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josef Lindholm in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenonas Buinevičius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Irmantas Girinskis's late challenge caught a FK Siauliu Fanai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irmantas Girinskis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FK Siauliu Fanai booed when FC VYTAUTAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irmantas Girinskis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldas Čivilis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almantas Jarulis having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play, FK Siauliu Fanai's Karolis Mažutavičius made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zenonas Buinevičius was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that FK Siauliu Fanai were the better team. FK Siauliu Fanai's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
