Spectators: 7886 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 157) FC Veretej's Ligitas Streikus started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teobald Drozdowski in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irmantas Žukauskas saved Kepurenu from getting behind. Irmantas Žukauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustas Dūdonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A collision led to Kepurenu getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Darius Čižas hit a great ball. Ligitas Streikus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Irmantas Žukauskas came out and tried to block the shot, but Ligitas Streikus slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, FC Veretej's Teobald Drozdowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irmantas Žukauskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute Vaclovas Bitė shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustas Grėbliauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gintautas Maneikis kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When FC Veretej's Ligitas Streikus in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oskaras Miežiaitis made a kick off. Gintautas Maneikis struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Augustas Grėbliauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kepurenu. Teobald Drozdowski took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Irmantas Žukauskas. Irmantas Žukauskas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ligitas Streikus managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Veretej's supporters rose to their feet, but Ligitas Streikus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irmantas Žukauskas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 minutes, Bronislovas Arlikevičius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kepurenu and the FC Veretej players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bronislovas Arlikevičius hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Ligitas Streikus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irmantas Žukauskas. Kepurenu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ligitas Streikus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. FC Veretej's Augustas Grėbliauskas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save FC Veretej from getting a goal against them. After 75 played minutes Kepurenu got a freekick which was hit by Oskaras Miežiaitis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ligitas Streikus in the 77th minute of play forced Kepurenu's goalkeeper Irmantas Žukauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gintautas Maneikis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Veretej's Dinaras Bakštys got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ligitas Streikus managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Veretej's supporters rose to their feet, but Ligitas Streikus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oskaras Miežiaitis hit a great ball. When the referee ended the match the FC Veretej players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
