The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Dovkentyshki's Antanas Žlabys threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eduardas Gailys, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eduardas Gailys struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Antanas Žlabys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dovkentyshki. In the 6th match minute, FK sTraTo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Bodin to maneuver through the defense. Eigirdas Dakanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benoît Fiori, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Benoît Fiori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eigirdas Dakanis having to interfere. The supporters of FK sTraTo booed when Dovkentyshki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardas Gailys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vytautas Aputis kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Benoît Fiori struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Eigirdas Dakanis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK sTraTo. Arvydas Liaugminas kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Gvidas Girčius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardas Gailys in the 43rd minute of play forced FK sTraTo's goalkeeper Antanas Žlabys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benoît Fiori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardas Gailys made a kick off. Gvidas Girčius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eigirdas Dakanis having to interfere. Niklas Bodin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Gvidas Girčius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eigirdas Dakanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gvidas Girčius in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eigirdas Dakanis saved Dovkentyshki from getting behind. When Benoît Fiori came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the FK sTraTo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benoît Fiori couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Vytautas Aputis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduardas Gailys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Gvidas Girčius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eigirdas Dakanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dovkentyshki succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FK sTraTo had controlled the match.
