Jokūbas Komskis came out of the goal and Alfonsas Leleiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grimziai's Alfonsas Leleiva got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonsas Leleiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jokūbas Komskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domas Macevicius scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jokūbas Komskis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Beržas Kligys's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arminas Kundrotas was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. If Alfonsas Leleiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Grimziai were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Domas Macevicius came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Grimziai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domas Macevicius couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, Vidmantas Dekanis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arminas Kundrotas. Grimziai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vidmantas Dekanis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Alfonsas Leleiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zigmantas Ambras fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Bucas-Akademija's protests and gave Zigmantas Ambras a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grimziai booed when FK Bucas-Akademija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zigmantas Ambras didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Domas Macevicius got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 76th minute, Alfonsas Leleiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfonsas Leleiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Grimziai getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Nojus Dabkevičius hit a great ball. Jokūbas Komskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domas Macevicius in the 95th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Faustas Dabrikas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grimziai's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
