In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Bucas-Akademija's goalkeeper Jokūbas Komskis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vidmantas Dekanis scored 2-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daugirdas Kurtinaitis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adomas Nenortas might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jokūbas Komskis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adomas Nenortas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FK Bucas-Akademija's zone, Vaidotas Raubickas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jokūbas Komskis came out of the goal and Vaidotas Raubickas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sipeliai booed when FK Bucas-Akademija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Šarūnas Skarulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Vaidotas Raubickas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jokūbas Komskis. FK Bucas-Akademija's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vaidotas Raubickas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Daugirdas Kurtinaitis was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sipeliai's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FK Bucas-Akademija had won, even though Sipeliai had held more of the ball.
