Žydrūnas Jarulis made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Ignas Petkauskas sent off a good shot on target. If Merūnas Bitė had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. Laimonas Barkus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ugnius Kėbla, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Ugnius Kėbla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Klemensas Trinkūnas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FBK Smarliuniai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geniukai the free kick. After a rather tough play, FBK Smarliuniai's Klemensas Trinkūnas got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 30th minute, Merūnas Bitė ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laimonas Barkus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Petras Alkauskass short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Žydrūnas Jarulis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Dovydas Sutkus was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. A collision led to Geniukai getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dovydas Sutkus hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 36th minute, but Žydrūnas Jarulis got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Geniukai hanging dry this time. FBK Smarliuniai were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Geniukai's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rokas Augys took the corner. The corner led FBK Smarliuniai's Ignas Petkauskas to fire away a dangerous shot which Žydrūnas Jarulis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Žydrūnas Jarulis made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Petras Alkauskas sent off a good shot on target. Geniukai's Žydrūnas Jarulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignas Petkauskas in the 47th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Geniukai's Ugnius Kėbla got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignas Petkauskas was the one to do the kick off. Merūnas Bitė fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laimonas Barkus having to interfere. Merūnas Bitė struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Laimonas Barkus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geniukai. Laimonas Barkus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Astijus Stanelis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 60 minute of play. The FBK Smarliuniai fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when FBK Smarliuniai's Petras Alkauskas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Petras Alkauskas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Petras Alkauskas managed to get in a good position for a shot. FBK Smarliuniai's supporters rose to their feet, but Petras Alkauskas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Žydrūnas Jarulis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petras Alkauskas struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Žydrūnas Jarulis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FBK Smarliuniai. Ugnius Kėbla charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ugnius Kėbla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes Geniukai got a freekick which was hit by Ugnius Kėbla. 73 minutes in the game, Petras Alkauskas dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. FBK Smarliuniai's Ignas Petkauskas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Petras Alkauskas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FBK Smarliuniai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Evaldas Jokubaitis kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Žydrūnas Jarulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rimvydas Pipiras in the 84th minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, FBK Smarliuniai's Ignas Petkauskas made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Žydrūnas Jarulis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 88 minutes into the game, Ignas Petkauskas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Žydrūnas Jarulis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Žydrūnas Jarulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petras Alkauskas in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FBK Smarliuniai fans cheered their team off the field, for while Geniukai had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
