Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sigitas Kuprevičius made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Marijus Motūzas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trakenai's supporters rose to their feet, but Marijus Motūzas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erikas Litvinas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Trakenai booed when FBK Gruzdiske was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astijus Gerulskis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes, Astijus Gerulskis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FBK Gruzdiske and the Trakenai players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FBK Gruzdiske's Astijus Gerulskis got a free kick in the 12th minute. With an all-out effort, FBK Gruzdiske's Ligitas Čivilis threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sigitas Kuprevičius, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 17th minute, FBK Gruzdiske's Sigitas Kuprevičius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FBK Gruzdiske's goalkeeper Erikas Litvinas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sigitas Kuprevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ligitas Čivilis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Tomas Greičius had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 26 minutes into the game, Gintautas Matukaitis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trakenai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FBK Gruzdiske the free kick. Trakenai's Ligitas Čivilis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Trakenai from getting a goal against them. FBK Gruzdiske's Erikas Litvinas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herkus Narauskas in the 30th minute of play. After 30 played minutes FBK Gruzdiske got a freekick which was hit by Sigitas Kuprevičius. Vilius Jakavičius's late challenge caught a Trakenai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilius Jakavičius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, FBK Gruzdiske was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilius Jakavičius to maneuver through the defense. Vygandas Dirmeikis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erikas Litvinas. FBK Gruzdiske's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marijus Motūzas in the 37th minute of play forced FBK Gruzdiske's goalkeeper Erikas Litvinas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adomas Žutautas got free with Ligitas Čivilis in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sigitas Kuprevičius's late challenge caught a Trakenai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sigitas Kuprevičius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 49th minute of the match Vygandas Dirmeikis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erikas Litvinas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herkus Narauskas made a kick off. Marijus Motūzas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigitas Kuprevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, FBK Gruzdiske's goalkeeper Erikas Litvinas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marijus Motūzas. Erikas Litvinas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herkus Narauskas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 68 minute of play. Erikas Litvinas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vygandas Dirmeikis. If Marijus Motūzas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FBK Gruzdiske's Adomas Žutautas got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FBK Gruzdiske's Erikas Litvinas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herkus Narauskas in the 91st minute of play. Zigmantas Kalpokas kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Marijus Motūzas in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erikas Litvinas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Trakenai's Marijus Motūzas got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herkus Narauskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erikas Litvinas having to interfere. The Trakenai supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Trakenai would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
