After some careless play in the FC Dafkes defense, Herkus Narauskas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erlandas Geldutis. The FC Dafkes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erlandas Geldutis should have stopped the shot. In the 18th play minute Vaidotas Zybartas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ligitas Čivilis. 1-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 22 minutes into the game, when Aistis Rupšys put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of FC Dafkes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trakenai:s goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marijus Motūzas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trakenai's supporters rose to their feet, but Marijus Motūzas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erlandas Geldutis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Dafkes's Vaidotas Zybartas got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vaidotas Zybartas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ligitas Čivilis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Trakenai's Ligitas Čivilis got control of the ball when Vaidotas Zybartas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vaidotas Zybartas was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, FC Dafkes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gintautas Matukaitis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Herkus Narauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erlandas Geldutis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herkus Narauskas in the 67th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Trakenai got a freekick which was hit by Kipras Bublys. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Marijus Motūzas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Herkus Narauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ligitas Čivilis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaidotas Zybartas, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to FC Dafkes getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Kristijonas Pažarskis hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Herkus Narauskas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erlandas Geldutis. The goal made the score 2-4. In the 85th minute, Adomas Sabas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience cheered when Vygandas Dirmeikis's long shot passed Erlandas Geldutis's right side. It was 2-5, 86 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Herkus Narauskas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 93 minutes into the match, FC Dafkes's goalkeeper Erlandas Geldutis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marijus Motūzas. The Trakenai players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
