The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ričardas Odminas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute Ričardas Odminas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justas Kalasauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute Eurelijus Brazauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liudas Gailys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ričardas Odminas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Justas Kalasauskas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurelijus Brazauskas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liudas Gailys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimas Dockus in the 30th minute of play forced Red Bull Kaunas's goalkeeper Liudas Gailys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Red Bull Kaunas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jogaila Davanauskas to maneuver through the defense. Liudas Gailys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimas Dockus in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Red Bull Kaunas's Kęstutis Matonis got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jeronimas Dockus kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Motiejus Jakubauskas might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justas Kalasauskas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Motiejus Jakubauskas ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeronimas Dockus to strike the kick off in the second half. Eurelijus Brazauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Red Bull Kaunas's zone, Jeronimas Dockus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liudas Gailys came out of the goal and Jeronimas Dockus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justas Kalasauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tauras Grigalaitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kęstutis Matonis during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Red Bull Kaunas getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kęstutis Matonis hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match Nedas Andužis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Justas Kalasauskas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in InKarai's zone, Motiejus Jakubauskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justas Kalasauskas came out of the goal and Motiejus Jakubauskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes of play, Red Bull Kaunas's Ričardas Odminas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justas Kalasauskas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82ndth minute of the game Ričardas Odminas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but InKarai's Justas Kalasauskas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th match minute, Red Bull Kaunas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedas Andužis to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Liudas Gailys managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when InKarai's Eurelijus Brazauskas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind InKarai's goalkeeper Justas Kalasauskas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Red Bull Kaunas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
