Spectators: 7748 (Terracing: 5907, Seating: 1811, VIP seats: 30) FK Rusva's Beržas Užbalis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Beržas Užbalis made a precise shot to the right of Eugenijus Ratkevičius. FC Smūgis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Zenonas Miežys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, FK Rusva's goal looked a bit too open when Kuzman Dakovski came free, but Modestas Pleskūnas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th play minute Emílio Antunes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Modestas Pleskūnas. 1-1. Modestas Pleskūnas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benediktas Buzelis in the 21st minute of the match. Beržas Užbalis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Eugenijus Ratkevičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenijus Ratkevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenonas Miežys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vakaris Matulionis kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, FK Rusva's Vaidotas Gurskis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vaidotas Gurskis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FK Rusva protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vaidotas Gurskis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Modestas Pleskūnas made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Benediktas Buzelis sent off a good shot on target. FC Smūgis made a substitution. Jarūnas Širvinskas replaced Valdas Amontas. In the 47th minute, Egidijus Ozinskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Herman Eriksson made the kick off in the second half. Modestas Pleskūnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Eriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Jarūnas Širvinskas made a precise shot to the right of Modestas Pleskūnas. FK Rusva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Zenonas Miežys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenijus Ratkevičius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zenonas Miežys got free with Eugenijus Ratkevičius in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Emílio Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Smūgis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. A collision led to FK Rusva getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Beržas Užbalis hit a great ball. If Emílio Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Zenonas Miežys made a precise shot to the right of Eugenijus Ratkevičius. FC Smūgis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Simonas Staškus kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Kristijonas Čiapas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Eugenijus Ratkevičius made a huge save. Modestas Pleskūnas came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Smūgis's Benediktas Buzelis. But to his dismay, Benediktas Buzelis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. FC Smūgis's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
