Alius Preikšaitis came out of the goal and Vaidas Laivys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rimvydas Mečionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petras Juodris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agatas Kukštas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind FBK Šalča's goalkeeper Rimvydas Mečionis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alius Preikšaitis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Edgaras Stuburas kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Valentas Džiautas hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Petras Juodris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Agatas Kukštas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rimvydas Mečionis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rimvydas Mečionis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petras Juodris in the 77th minute of the match. Rimvydas Mečionis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petras Juodris, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Petras Juodris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slepsiku's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petras Juodris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agatas Kukštas might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rimvydas Mečionis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agatas Kukštas ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the game, Regimantas Liubinskas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FBK Šalča's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slepsiku the free kick. After a rather tough play, FBK Šalča's Regimantas Liubinskas got a free kick in the 87th minute. Slepsiku's Alius Preikšaitis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Slepsiku from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the FBK Šalča players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Slepsiku.
