In the 5th minute of the match Henrikas Gasparas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gytis Girdvainis skillfully saved the ball. Remigijus Tučkus hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. If Nerūnas Beinoris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigijus Tučkus charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigijus Tučkus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remigijus Tučkus kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Gytis Girdvainis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herkus Širvys in the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Vilniaus spirdziai getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Marijus Vilčiauskas hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Marijus Vilčiauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Titas Mišeikis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes FC Vilkai got a freekick which was hit by Eigirdas Grinius. Giedrius Pranulis's late challenge caught a Vilniaus spirdziai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giedrius Pranulis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, one of FC Vilkai:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Vilkai. Remigijus Tučkus shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, FC Vilkai's Eigirdas Grinius got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 40 played minutes, Vilniaus spirdziai's Remigijus Tučkus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gytis Girdvainis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vilniaus spirdziai reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Titas Mišeikis managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vilkai's supporters rose to their feet, but Titas Mišeikis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artūras Silevičius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Janeliūnas was the one to do the kick off. Titas Mišeikis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Vilkai booed when Vilniaus spirdziai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigijus Tučkus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Titas Mišeikis scored 1-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artūras Silevičius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nerūnas Beinoris in the 58th minute of play forced Vilniaus spirdziai's goalkeeper Artūras Silevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Vilkai's Gytis Girdvainis got control of the ball when Herkus Širvys tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Herkus Širvys came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Vilniaus spirdziai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herkus Širvys couldn't finish the play. After 67 played minutes Vilniaus spirdziai got a freekick which was hit by Herkus Širvys. The supporters of Vilniaus spirdziai booed when FC Vilkai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulius Mintauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Vilniaus spirdziai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Motiejus Grikšas to maneuver through the defense. Valentas Bagūnas hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Valentas Bagūnas fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Vilkai's protests and gave Valentas Bagūnas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Vilkai getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Valentas Bagūnas hit a great ball. Artūras Silevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Titas Mišeikis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, FC Vilkai's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Janeliūnas came free, but Gytis Girdvainis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Vilkai fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vilniaus spirdziai had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
