Arnoldas Nekrošius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincentas Puidokas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beržas Lapėnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldas Nekrošius having to interfere. Erlandas Jatkauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eigirdas Stackevičius in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute, Zalgiris Vilnius's Vincentas Puidokas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnoldas Nekrošius. Arnoldas Nekrošius yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Beržas Lapėnas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rofl FC's Arnoldas Nekrošius. Arnoldas Nekrošius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 35 minutes into the match, Rofl FC's Žygimantas Žiogas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erlandas Jatkauskas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erlandas Jatkauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eigirdas Stackevičius in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Vincentas Puidokas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zalgiris Vilnius's supporters rose to their feet, but Vincentas Puidokas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoldas Nekrošius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnoldas Nekrošius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beržas Lapėnas in the 39th minute. Beržas Lapėnas might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnoldas Nekrošius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beržas Lapėnas ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Rofl FC booed when Zalgiris Vilnius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Moțoc didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes Rofl FC got a freekick which was hit by Eigirdas Stackevičius. After a defensive mix-up in Rofl FC's zone, Vincentas Puidokas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldas Nekrošius came out of the goal and Vincentas Puidokas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beržas Lapėnas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldas Nekrošius having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rofl FC's zone, Vincentas Puidokas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karolis Danauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Arnoldas Nekrošius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Mantvydas Komskis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rofl FC and the Zalgiris Vilnius players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erlandas Jatkauskas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 82nd minute, Zalgiris Vilnius's Bronius Barasa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bronius Barasa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zalgiris Vilnius protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bronius Barasa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zalgiris Vilnius fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Erlandas Jatkauskas, was totally fooled by Rofl FC's Alvydas Gasiūnas, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Arnoldas Nekrošius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfas Matiušaitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Beržas Lapėnas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Arnoldas Nekrošius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beržas Lapėnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Karolis Danauskas ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zalgiris Vilnius had played much better football throughout.
