Jonas Liubauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidas Pikelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vidas Pikelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Žilvinas Duseika in the 13th minute of play forced Karaliunai's goalkeeper Jonas Liubauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rimvydas Jaunius was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduardas Survila showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kauns's goalkeeper Rimvydas Jaunius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A very good chance for a goal. 31 minutes into the game, Kauns's Žilvinas Duseika nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Liubauskas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Karaliunai's Eduardas Survila in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Karaliunai's Eduardas Survila slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rimvydas Jaunius. That made the score 3-1 after 46 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardas Survila was the one to do the kick off. Rimvydas Jaunius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vakaris Žiauberis, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Eduardas Survila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Kauns's goal looked a bit too open when Motiejus Mitkevičius came free, but Rimvydas Jaunius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vidas Pikelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Liubauskas having to interfere. Vidas Pikelis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vidas Pikelis struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jonas Liubauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kauns. If Eduardas Survila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Liubauskas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vidas Pikelis in the 86th minute. 3-2 became the score in the 87th minute when Žilvinas Duseika elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Kauns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saulius Liubauskas to maneuver through the defense. Ramūnas Stanelis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Karaliunai had won after a very even match.
