Aras Drevinskas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 14th minute, Leonas Fokas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Narūnas Jazukevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aras Drevinskas having to interfere. Vladas Andrijaitis hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Benediktas Žigelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Airidas Mačionis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aras Drevinskas, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Vladas Andrijaitis managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Patrankos's supporters rose to their feet, but Vladas Andrijaitis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgaras Baravykas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aras Drevinskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narūnas Jazukevičius in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narūnas Jazukevičius was the one to do the kick off. Smeline's Dinaras Dabulskis got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aras Drevinskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinaras Dabulskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Narūnas Jazukevičius came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Smeline fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narūnas Jazukevičius couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Narūnas Jazukevičius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aras Drevinskas was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Gražvydas Subačius charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gražvydas Subačius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Smeline had won after a very even match.
