Vydas Kalinauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaldas Dalinkevičius in the 6th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Balzam Giedymina's Rokas Bačkys threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Deividas Staponkus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deividas Staponkus in the 13th minute of play forced Medeyki's goalkeeper Rokas Bačkys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Medeyki's Adomas Dulevičius got a free kick in the 15th minute. A collision led to Medeyki getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Laimutis Gurčinas hit a great ball. Vydas Kalinauskas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaldas Dalinkevičius's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Titas Bizauskas hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Medeyki's Rokas Bačkys proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Medeyki from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Medeyki's zone, Deividas Staponkus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rokas Bačkys came out of the goal and Deividas Staponkus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deividas Staponkus in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rokas Bačkys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugenijus Gegeckas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rokas Bačkys having to interfere. Deividas Staponkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rokas Bačkys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenijus Gegeckass short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Rokas Bačkys to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustas Nekrašas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Eugenijus Gegeckas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rokas Bačkys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deividas Staponkus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Deividas Staponkus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rokas Bačkys was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Vydas Kalinauskas made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Evaldas Dalinkevičius sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Deividas Staponkus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rokas Bačkys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Balzam Giedymina got a freekick which was hit by Daugirdas Gailiūnas. After a defensive mix-up in Balzam Giedymina's zone, Evaldas Dalinkevičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vydas Kalinauskas came out of the goal and Evaldas Dalinkevičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balzam Giedymina's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
