Ligitas Anužis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dainius Mickeliūnas went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Vitoldas Dargužas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robertas Daunoravičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Adomas Norkevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Virgilijus Sereika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ligitas Anužis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Dainius Mickeliūnas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ARKOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dainius Mickeliūnas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robertas Daunoravičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitoldas Dargužas having to interfere. Ričardas Tarabilda scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitoldas Dargužas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robertas Daunoravičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitoldas Dargužas having to interfere. Vitoldas Dargužas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robertas Daunoravičius's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Dainius Mickeliūnas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ligitas Anužis made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in FK siauliai's zone, Virgilijus Sereika stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ligitas Anužis came out of the goal and Virgilijus Sereika tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dainius Mickeliūnas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antanas Gavėnas's late challenge caught a FK siauliai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antanas Gavėnas helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes FC ARKOS got a freekick which was hit by Antanas Gavėnas. Vladas Ajutis hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ligitas Anužis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilijus Sereika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Robertas Daunoravičius made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vismantas Avelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 52 minutes, Ričardas Tarabilda made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC ARKOS's Vitoldas Dargužas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ričardas Tarabilda managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK siauliai's supporters rose to their feet, but Ričardas Tarabilda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitoldas Dargužas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC ARKOS booed when FK siauliai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adomas Norkevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Merūnas Navardauskas fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK siauliai's protests and gave Merūnas Navardauskas a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of FK siauliai:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC ARKOS:s goal. A collision led to FK siauliai getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Vladas Survila hit a great ball. Dainius Mickeliūnas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ligitas Anužis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, FC ARKOS's Vitoldas Dargužas got control of the ball when Ričardas Tarabilda tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Robertas Daunoravičius took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Vitoldas Dargužas to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FK siauliai had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
