Seating: 1939, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rimvydas Stackevičius started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Augustinas Katinas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bytlaukis FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Juras Mackevičius hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Irtautas Kučinskas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vidmantas Azukas was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Juras Mackevičius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rimas Morkūnas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimas Stauce in the 43rd minute of play. If Henrikas Visokavicius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Rimvydas Stackevičius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Rimvydas Stackevičius in the 58th minute of play forced Palankiai's goalkeeper Vidmantas Azukas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palankiai's zone, Juras Mackevičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vidmantas Azukas came out of the goal and Juras Mackevičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rimvydas Stackevičius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Palankiai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitalijus Cimermonas to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Bytlaukis FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palankiai throughout the match.
