Forest Power's Simonas Sutkus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigitas Rasiulis in the 14th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Rūtenis Danilaitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vygandas Daugirdas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vygandas Daugirdas struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Simonas Kukštas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forest Power. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vygandas Daugirdas to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sigitas Rasiulis in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simonas Sutkus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Forest Power were furious when Deividas Krivickas was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Forest Power fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FBK Zelsva a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nerijus Armalas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Forest Power's Simonas Sutkus. 3-0. Simonas Sutkus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dobilas Jaunius in the 67th minute of the match.
