When Jarūnas Abakas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FK Šiauliai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarūnas Abakas couldn't finish the play. Tautrimas Sabulis took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Liutauras Zaleckis. Liutauras Zaleckis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rolandas Gylys hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinaras Burkys to strike the kick off in the second half. Dinaras Burkys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC Egydasas's Liutauras Zaleckis got control of the ball when Jonas Palšis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Laimutis Želvys made a precise shot to the right of Rokas Bakšys. FK Šiauliai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 72nd minute Laimutis Želvys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rokas Bakšys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Jonas Palšis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Liutauras Zaleckis. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laimutis Želvys in the 92nd minute of play forced FK Šiauliai's goalkeeper Rokas Bakšys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liutauras Zaleckis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarūnas Abakas, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
