In the 11th match minute, FC Gayzunay 66 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algimantas Nekrošius to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Rupertas Cirtautas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juozapas Daktaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Gayzunay 66's Juozapas Daktaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupertas Cirtautas in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Mindaugas Kirklys managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jakenu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mindaugas Kirklys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robertas Vertelis to make the kick off. Mindaugas Kirklys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Oskaras Daknevičius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Mindaugas Kirklys managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juozapas Daktaras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juozapas Daktaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mindaugas Kirklys, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Mindaugas Kirklys took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Juozapas Daktaras to make any attempt to save it. Vėjas Stasaitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupertas Cirtautas in the 76th minute of play forced FC Gayzunay 66's goalkeeper Juozapas Daktaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mindaugas Kirklys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juozapas Daktaras having to interfere. Domas Zapalskis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Juozapas Daktaras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Rupertas Cirtautas took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Juozapas Daktaras to make any attempt to save it. Rupertas Cirtautas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juozapas Daktaras came out and tried to block the shot, but Rupertas Cirtautas slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 88th minute. The supporters of Jakenu booed when FC Gayzunay 66 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskaras Daknevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mindaugas Kirklys in the 94th minute of play forced FC Gayzunay 66's goalkeeper Juozapas Daktaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, FC Gayzunay 66's goal looked a bit too open when Rupertas Cirtautas came free, but Juozapas Daktaras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Jakenu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Gayzunay 66.
