Zilvinas Ulvydas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herkus Andrikaitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Arvydas Tarulis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azvinciai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taurakiemio the free kick. Arvydas Tarulis hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Azvinciai fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! If Vitoldas Gelažius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Azvinciai's goal looked a bit too open when Herkus Andrikaitis came free, but Zilvinas Ulvydas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Herkus Andrikaitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zilvinas Ulvydas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zilvinas Ulvydas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitoldas Gelažius in the 36th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Herkus Andrikaitis made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Azvinciai's Zilvinas Ulvydas got control of the ball when Herkus Andrikaitis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Azvinciai's goalkeeper Zilvinas Ulvydas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herkus Andrikaitis. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitoldas Gelažius in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zilvinas Ulvydas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute Arvydas Tarulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Regimantas Vėlius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herkus Andrikaitis got free with Zilvinas Ulvydas in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Zilvinas Ulvydas managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Taurakiemio's Herkus Andrikaitis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67th minute, Herkus Andrikaitis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 69 played minutes Azvinciai got a freekick which was hit by Arnas Liberis . 72 minutes into the game, Algirdas Iskauskas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Regimantas Vėlius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute of the match, Herkus Andrikaitis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zilvinas Ulvydas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Taurakiemio's Vitoldas Gelažius in the 85th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Zilvinas Ulvydas was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Azvinciai through an amazing save. Algirdas Iskauskas's late challenge caught a Taurakiemio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Algirdas Iskauskas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Azvinciai getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Algirdas Iskauskas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Azvinciai's zone, Vitoldas Gelažius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zilvinas Ulvydas came out of the goal and Vitoldas Gelažius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Arvydas Tarulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taurakiemio played a much better game than Azvinciai and deserved their victory. The Azvinciai players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
