With a little luck, Vaivoriai's Ovidijus Žiogas got control of the ball when Vygandas Gasiūnas tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vismantas Minkevičius in the 11th minute of play forced Vaivoriai's goalkeeper Ovidijus Žiogas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigijus Palšis kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Vaivoriai's goalkeeper Ovidijus Žiogas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vygandas Gasiūnas. Dangiras Labuckas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigijus Palšis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Royal Club Siauliai's Dangiras Labuckas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasys Bielskis in the 18th minute of play. Remigijus Palšis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dangiras Labuckas having to interfere. Remigijus Palšis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dangiras Labuckas having to make a save. In the 25th minute, Royal Club Siauliai's Svajūnas Petronis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Ovidijus Žiogas came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Club Siauliai's Svajūnas Petronis. But to his dismay, Svajūnas Petronis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Stasys Bielskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dangiras Labuckas having to interfere. The supporters of Vaivoriai booed when Royal Club Siauliai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vygandas Gasiūnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigijus Palšis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dangiras Labuckas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daugirdas Burneika to make the kick off. Giedrius Arvazas hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daugirdas Burneika in the 58th minute of play forced Vaivoriai's goalkeeper Ovidijus Žiogas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaivoriai's Ovidijus Žiogas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daugirdas Burneika in the 60th minute of play. Ovidijus Žiogas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daugirdas Burneika, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 69th minute, Daugirdas Burneika made a precise shot to the right of Ovidijus Žiogas. Vaivoriai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 85th minute Remigijus Palšis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dangiras Labuckas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigijus Palšis got free with Dangiras Labuckas in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Remigijus Palšis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Royal Club Siauliai getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Andrius Gendvila hit a great ball. Remigijus Palšis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stasys Bielskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dangiras Labuckas having to interfere.
