Spectators: 8433 (Terracing: 6326, Seating: 1939, VIP seats: 168) Royal Club Siauliai's Daugirdas Burneika started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Regimantas Vėlius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vismantas Minkevičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Jokūbas Ulčinas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dangiras Labuckas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Regimantas Vėlius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svajūnas Petronis in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herkus Andrikaitis got free with Dangiras Labuckas in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Svajūnas Petronis in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Regimantas Vėlius saved Taurakiemio from getting behind. After 21 played minutes Taurakiemio got a freekick which was hit by Herkus Andrikaitis. After a rather tough play, Royal Club Siauliai's Marijus Bložė got a free kick in the 27th minute. Dangiras Labuckas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vitoldas Gelažius. Svajūnas Petronis took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Regimantas Vėlius. Regimantas Vėlius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Royal Club Siauliai booed when Taurakiemio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zigmas Kavaliūnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svajūnas Petronis in the 40th minute of play forced Taurakiemio's goalkeeper Regimantas Vėlius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jokūbas Ulčinas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dangiras Labuckas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daugirdas Burneika scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Regimantas Vėlius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herkus Andrikaitis was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daugirdas Burneika in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Regimantas Vėlius saved Taurakiemio from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Taurakiemio's goal looked a bit too open when Vismantas Minkevičius came free, but Regimantas Vėlius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitoldas Gelažius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Regimantas Noreika kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Taurakiemio defense, Svajūnas Petronis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Regimantas Vėlius. The Taurakiemio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Regimantas Vėlius should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svajūnas Petronis got free with Regimantas Vėlius in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dangiras Labuckas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitoldas Gelažius in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Svajūnas Petronis could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Regimantas Vėlius however easily saved by the left post. In the 85th minute of the match, Svajūnas Petronis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Regimantas Vėlius was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Taurakiemio's zone, Svajūnas Petronis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Regimantas Vėlius came out of the goal and Svajūnas Petronis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Regimantas Vėlius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svajūnas Petronis in the 92nd minute. Royal Club Siauliai's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
