Spectators: 6935 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1935, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vaclovas Žemaitis got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute Rimvydas Bunga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliksas Avelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes, Jogaila Birbilas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Skirlenai and the FC Gayzunay 66 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Skirlenai getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jogaila Birbilas hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, FC Gayzunay 66's Oskaras Daknevičius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Feliksas Avelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oskaras Daknevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliksas Avelis having to interfere. Vaclovas Žemaitis 's late challenge caught a FC Gayzunay 66's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vaclovas Žemaitis helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes FC Skirlenai got a freekick which was hit by Vaclovas Žemaitis . In the 19th minute Vėjas Stasaitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliksas Avelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Rapolas Abukauskas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Juozapas Daktaras to make any attempt to save it. Robertas Vertelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Feliksas Avelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Skirlenai's zone, Robertas Vertelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliksas Avelis came out of the goal and Robertas Vertelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliksas Avelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vėjas Stasaitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Skirlenai getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Giedrius Nemunis hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Robertas Vertelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Gayzunay 66's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robertas Vertelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Gayzunay 66's Juozapas Daktaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabrielius Bunga in the 39th minute of play. After 41 played minutes FC Skirlenai got a freekick which was hit by Gediminas Greičius. Robertas Vertelis struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Feliksas Avelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gayzunay 66. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robertas Vertelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rapolas Abukauskas in the 54th minute of play forced FC Gayzunay 66's goalkeeper Juozapas Daktaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juozapas Daktaras came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Skirlenai's Gabrielius Bunga. But to his dismay, Gabrielius Bunga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, FC Gayzunay 66's goal looked a bit too open when Vaclovas Žemaitis came free, but Juozapas Daktaras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vėjas Stasaitis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliksas Avelis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Gayzunay 66's goalkeeper Juozapas Daktaras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 68 minutes of play, FC Skirlenai's Gabrielius Bunga made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juozapas Daktaras was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rimvydas Bunga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliksas Avelis having to interfere. Feliksas Avelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robertas Vertelis in the 74th minute of play. Juozapas Daktaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rapolas Abukauskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The referee ignored FC Gayzunay 66's protests and gave Algimantas Nekrošius a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute Jogaila Birbilas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juozapas Daktaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th match minute, FC Skirlenai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jogaila Birbilas to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robertas Vertelis in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliksas Avelis saved FC Skirlenai from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Robertas Vertelis notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of FC Skirlenai's Feliksas Avelis. Feliksas Avelis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The FC Skirlenai support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
