Vakaris Satkus hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Vaidas Borgaila fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aras Pocevičius, passed just outside the right post. Aras Pocevičius made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Daumantas Širvys sent off a good shot on target. When Vincentas Dačys fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saltiniai's protests and gave Vincentas Dačys a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Regbistai Siauliai booed when Saltiniai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincentas Dačys didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Vaidas Borgaila tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aras Pocevičius saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Dalius Janavičius fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saltiniai's protests and gave Dalius Janavičius a yellow card for diving instead. Aras Pocevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaidas Borgaila, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Vaidas Borgaila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aras Pocevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Vaidas Borgaila reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aras Pocevičius. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 35th minute Vaidas Borgaila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aras Pocevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Darius Pipiras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, FC Regbistai Siauliai's goal looked a bit too open when Vincentas Dačys came free, but Chu Yan Kun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aras Pocevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaidas Borgaila in the 42nd minute of play. Aras Pocevičius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daumantas Širvys in the 43rd minute. Vladas Bekeris hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute of the match Darius Pipiras sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chu Yan Kun skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daumantas Širvys made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saltiniai! Aras Pocevičius went to the wrong direction when Giedrius Aponavičius was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daumantas Širvys in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aras Pocevičius saved Saltiniai from getting behind. Vincentas Dačys took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chu Yan Kun. Chu Yan Kun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vaidas Borgaila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aras Pocevičius having to interfere. The supporters of FC Regbistai Siauliai booed when Saltiniai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narūnas Barzinskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Vaidas Borgaila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Aras Pocevičius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aras Pocevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaidas Borgaila, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Dalius Janavičius kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Giedrius Aponavičius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aras Pocevičius. Saltiniai's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Saltiniai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rokas Genčiauskas to maneuver through the defense. FC Regbistai Siauliai's Vaidas Borgaila got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aras Pocevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaidas Borgaila in the 83rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Saltiniai players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Regbistai Siauliai.
