When Benjaminas Buitkus fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ariux's protests and gave Benjaminas Buitkus a yellow card for diving instead. Benjaminas Buitkus hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Eurelijus Stanišauskas was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Eitautas Lukšas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eitautas Lukšas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Eurelijus Stanišauskas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evaldas Mikalajūnas in the 14th minute. Laimutis Dabašinskas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laimutis Majauskas having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Plaschken FC's zone, Irtautas Deksnys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laimutis Majauskas came out of the goal and Irtautas Deksnys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Ariux booed when Plaschken FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eigirdas Maksvytis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Ariux's Klemensas Bakštys got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laimutis Dabašinskas in the 36th minute of play forced Plaschken FC's goalkeeper Laimutis Majauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Ariux were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Plaschken FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Irtautas Deksnys took the corner. Eitautas Lukšas's late challenge caught a FC Ariux's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eitautas Lukšas helped the player get up and apologised. Eitautas Lukšas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Irtautas Deksnys struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Laimutis Majauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ariux. In the 42nd match minute, Plaschken FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eitautas Lukšas to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Girkantas Katilius during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes FC Ariux got a freekick which was hit by Girkantas Katilius.

Eigirdas Maksvytis scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eurelijus Stanišauskas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laimutis Majauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laimutis Dabašinskas in the 58th minute of play. Antanas Kiela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurelijus Stanišauskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaldas Mikalajūnas in the 72nd minute of the match. Evaldas Mikalajūnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Eurelijus Stanišauskas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eitautas Lukšas in the 78th minute of play forced FC Ariux's goalkeeper Eurelijus Stanišauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes, Laimutis Dabašinskas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ariux and the Plaschken FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Ariux getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Laimutis Dabašinskas hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Eitautas Lukšas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plaschken FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Eurelijus Stanišauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eitautas Lukšas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC Ariux defense, Eitautas Lukšas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurelijus Stanišauskas. The FC Ariux fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurelijus Stanišauskas should have stopped the shot. Plaschken FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
