The audience thought a goal was coming when Vytaras Gendvila got free with Vladas Martinaitis in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Vytaras Gendvila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladas Martinaitis. FK Alytis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vytaras Gendvila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Arvydas Voveris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Vladas Martinaitis made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vytaras Gendvila in the 24th minute of play forced FK Alytis's goalkeeper Vladas Martinaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FK Alytis's Vladas Martinaitis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FK Alytis from getting a goal against them. Rokas Simutis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rokas Pranys, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Vladas Martinaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ligitas Motiekaitis in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, FBK Radailiai's Arvydas Voveris dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. 36 minutes into the match, FK Alytis's goal looked a bit too open when Ligitas Motiekaitis came free, but Vladas Martinaitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FBK Radailiai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Alytis the free kick. After a rather tough play, FBK Radailiai's Vytaras Gendvila got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rokas Pranys to make the kick off. After 52 minutes FK Alytis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ligitas Motiekaitis who took care of the corner kick. Vytaras Gendvila made a great header on FBK Radailiai's corner, it was just that FK Alytis's Vladas Martinaitis managed to reach the ball for a save. After 58 minutes, Deimantas Filimonas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FBK Radailiai and the FK Alytis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute Rokas Pranys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rokas Simutis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladas Martinaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvydas Voveris in the 73rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Arvydas Voveris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladas Martinaitis was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FBK Radailiai had played much better football throughout.
