Seating: 1815, VIP seats: 160) FC KOMETA's Rimvydas Griškevičius started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Einaras Imbrasas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zarando Palma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orestas Paliulis hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Stasys Trubutis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignas Žemaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavilkija's Einaras Imbrasas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deimantas Valys in the 17th minute of play. Einaras Imbrasas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orestas Paliulis in the 19th minute of the match. Ignas Žemaitis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Redas Andriuškevičius in the 20th minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Merūnas Vilkas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC KOMETA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Merūnas Vilkas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Rimvydas Griškevičius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Einaras Imbrasas. Pavilkija's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rimvydas Griškevičius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Einaras Imbrasas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarando Palma in the 27th minute of play. Ignas Žemaitis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelijus Karanauskas in the 29th minute. FC KOMETA's Rimvydas Griškevičius got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Orestas Paliulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilis Petrulis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Orestas Paliulis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einaras Imbrasas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Pavilkija players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC KOMETA were winning 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Redas Andriuškevičius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ignas Žemaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Redas Andriuškevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Deimantas Valys charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deimantas Valys the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes FC KOMETA got a freekick which was hit by Deimantas Valys. After 53 played minutes, Pavilkija's Aurelijus Karanauskas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ignas Žemaitis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pavilkija reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Rimvydas Griškevičius managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC KOMETA's supporters rose to their feet, but Rimvydas Griškevičius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einaras Imbrasas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Pavilkija's Einaras Imbrasas got control of the ball when Zarando Palma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rimvydas Griškevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Einaras Imbrasas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Pavilkija got a freekick which was hit by Gediminas Bričkus. 65 minutes into the match, FC KOMETA's Orestas Paliulis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Einaras Imbrasas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute of the match, Rimvydas Griškevičius got a very nice opportunity to score, but Einaras Imbrasas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to FC KOMETA getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Deimantas Valys hit a great ball. FC KOMETA's Žygimantas Laivys was substituted for Deimantas Valys. Deimantas Valys kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Vismantas Stravinskas hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Pavilkija's Einaras Imbrasas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Pavilkija from getting a goal against them. The Pavilkija fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC KOMETA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
