No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

After 54 minutes, Nerūnas Paškauskas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Alytis and the Eglynas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vladas Martinaitis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. When Edmundas Donskis came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Eglynas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundas Donskis couldn't finish the play. Stasys Apinys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Tolvaiša in the 83rd minute of play. Vladas Martinaitis came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Eglynas's Doğan Akbudun. But to his dismay, Doğan Akbudun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Vladas Martinaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğan Akbudun in the 89th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Eglynas fully deserved thier win.
