If Ramūnas Lipskis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FK Alytis's Vladas Martinaitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Saúl Gentiletti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladas Martinaitis was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Vladas Martinaitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saúl Gentiletti in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Saúl Gentiletti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladas Martinaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goal looked a bit too open when Vygandas Paškevičius came free, but Vilmantas Matulas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FK Alytis's Alatz Fresnos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Žalia Giria. Vilmantas Matulas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rokas Pranys in the 33rd minute. Vladas Martinaitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saúl Gentiletti in the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match, Rokas Pranys tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vilmantas Matulas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 43rd minute of play forced FK Alytis's goalkeeper Vladas Martinaitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alatz Fresnos hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Alatz Fresnos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Saúl Gentiletti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladas Martinaitis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FK Alytis's Virginijus Milius got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Tolvaiša made a kick off. FC Žalia Giria were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after FK Alytis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Avram Lupoaia took the corner. After taking down the ball on FC Žalia Giria's corner Dovydas Varnas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vladas Martinaitis quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Vladas Martinaitis managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vilmantas Matulas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vygandas Paškevičius in the 67th minute of play. Saúl Gentiletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Žalia Giria made a substitution. Algitas Kimbartas replaced Dovydas Varnas. FC Žalia Giria's Augustinas Baltramaitis was substituted for Saúl Gentiletti. 71 minutes into the game, FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladas Martinaitis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, FK Alytis's Alatz Fresnos got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Avram Lupoaia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 84 minutes on the clock, Erikas Kiškunas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Alatz Fresnos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Jack Grealish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladas Martinaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rokas Pranys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Žalia Giria walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
