Gabrielius Ambrozaitis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Champions of Lithuania's Rimas Bračas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Stasys Trubutis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Stasys Trubutis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabrielius Ambrozaitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabrielius Ambrozaitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasys Trubutis in the 27th minute of play. Gabrielius Ambrozaitis came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Pavilkija's Stasys Trubutis. But to his dismay, Stasys Trubutis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Stasys Trubutis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabrielius Ambrozaitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stasys Trubutis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Champions of Lithuania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domas Jasas to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Redas Andriuškevičius made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Redas Andriuškevičius got free with Gabrielius Ambrozaitis in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Pavilkija's Stasys Trubutis in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Champions of Lithuania's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Redas Andriuškevičius in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 65th minute, Stasys Trubutis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabrielius Ambrozaitis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stasys Trubutis's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Redas Andriuškevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabrielius Ambrozaitis having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinaras Navakas during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
