Gabrielius Mašalas started the match with the kick off. Bernd Beike made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 4thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Albinas Sabulis would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. FK Didvieciai's Albinas Sabulis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save FK Didvieciai from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mantas Malinauskas in the 8th minute of play forced FK Didvieciai's goalkeeper Albinas Sabulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Nils Smed was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Klaipeda United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Didvieciai the free kick. The supporters of FK Didvieciai booed when FC Klaipeda United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oxel Crespo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Motiejus Dalangauskas in the 18th minute of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Motiejus Dalangauskas sped through FC Klaipeda United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oxel Crespo. After 21 played minutes FK Didvieciai got a freekick which was hit by Dominykas Laivys. Gabrielius Mašalas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. FC Klaipeda United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Aurelijus Banevičius fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Klaipeda United's protests and gave Aurelijus Banevičius a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Klaipeda United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Aurelijus Banevičius hit a great ball. The supporters of FK Didvieciai booed when FC Klaipeda United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaclovas Lemežis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 minutes of play, FK Didvieciai's Motiejus Dalangauskas made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oxel Crespo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vaclovas Lemežis hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Motiejus Dalangauskas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 61 minutes, Andrius Mykolaitis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Klaipeda United and the FK Didvieciai players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Klaipeda United's Andrius Mykolaitis got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Oxel Crespo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mantvydas Lukšas in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Klaipeda United's goalkeeper Oxel Crespo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Oxel Crespo managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when FK Didvieciai's Mantvydas Lukšas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in FK Didvieciai's zone, Mantas Malinauskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albinas Sabulis came out of the goal and Mantas Malinauskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, FK Didvieciai's goal looked a bit too open when Gabrielius Mašalas came free, but Albinas Sabulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Mantas Malinauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albinas Sabulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Algirdas Žukauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. FC Klaipeda United made a substitution. Sonny Skouvig replaced Ramūnas Klimas. Gabrielius Mašalas might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albinas Sabulis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabrielius Mašalas ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, FC Klaipeda United's Bernd Beike got a free kick in the 91st minute. Gabrielius Mašalas hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Albinas Sabulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabrielius Mašalas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 97 minutes, Mantvydas Lukšas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Didvieciai and the FC Klaipeda United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mantvydas Lukšas hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The FK Didvieciai supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FK Didvieciai would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
