The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Byblos Phéniciens's Rafiq Fayyad got a free kick in the 14th minute. Osama Abdul Alims short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Qazem Ghalib to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aatif Taslim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilal Fathi took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Qazem Ghalib. Qazem Ghalib dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 25 minutes of play, Byblos Phéniciens's Osama Abdul Alim made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Qazem Ghalib was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the match, Byblos Phéniciens's goal looked a bit too open when Fattah Bakri came free, but Omar Haddad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Fattah Bakri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Byblos Phéniciens's Omar Haddad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guardians FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Hilal Fathi scored to the left of an out of position Qazem Ghalib, making the score, 4-0. After 40 played minutes Byblos Phéniciens got a freekick which was hit by Marwan Nijad. When Guardians FC's Fattah Bakri in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Qazem Ghalib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Byblos Phéniciens booed when Guardians FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatih Munahid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fattah Bakri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Omar Haddad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Byblos Phéniciens fans cheered their team off the field, for while Guardians FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
