Diya Muzzammil was extremely unlucky when he, in the 2nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Aatif Sajid's late challenge caught a Croydon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aatif Sajid helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chester-le-Street FC's Aatif Sajid got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 8th minute, Chester-le-Street FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diya Muzzammil fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chester-le-Street FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Croydon AFC's Hamad Muwaffaq played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salim Abdul Baqi in the 19th minute of play. Ilyas Fakhro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moneer Aziz in the 21st minute of the match. Kamel Tawfiq's late challenge caught a Croydon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kamel Tawfiq helped the player get up and apologised. Kamel Tawfiq hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 39th match minute, Chester-le-Street FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamel Tawfiq to maneuver through the defense. Ilyas Fakhro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tahir Razin. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Chester-le-Street FC's Abdul Majid Husam got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Chester-le-Street FC got a freekick which was hit by Abdul Majid Husam. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubaid Basim in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilyas Fakhro saved Chester-le-Street FC from getting behind. After 65 minutes, Shafiq Budail mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chester-le-Street FC and the Croydon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Croydon AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Asad Azhar hit a great ball. Isa Yasem struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Hamad Muwaffaq didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester-le-Street FC. Hamad Muwaffaq showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salim Abdul Baqi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Aatif Sajid blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamad Muwaffaq having to make a save. Ilyas Fakhro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaid Basim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Qasim Ahsan scored 4-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilyas Fakhro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute Ubaid Basim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilyas Fakhro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilyas Fakhro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diya Muzzammil in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Qasim Ahsan in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilyas Fakhro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diya Muzzammil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Salim Abdul Baqi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chester-le-Street FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salim Abdul Baqi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamad Muwaffaq breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Croydon AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
