Hitchin's Talib Ghanim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abbas Mamdouh in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes in the game, Nour al Din Abdul Basir fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Talib Ghanim having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Calne City's Nouh Ramiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Talib Ghanim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Yaser Zafir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Masoud Abdul Qadir in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Calne City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qazim Muzzammil to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Masoud Abdul Qadir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hitchin's supporters rose to their feet, but Masoud Abdul Qadir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yaser Zafir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Nouh Ramiz could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Talib Ghanim however easily saved by the left post. In the 25th minute Masoud Abdul Qadir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yaser Zafir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Hitchin's goalkeeper Talib Ghanim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nouh Ramiz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nouh Ramiz got free with Talib Ghanim in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yaser Zafir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qazim Qudamah in the 35th minute of the match. Ubaid Ghanim's late challenge caught a Calne City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubaid Ghanim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Ubaid Ghanim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Masoud Abdul Qadir in the 46th minute of play forced Calne City's goalkeeper Yaser Zafir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Masoud Abdul Qadir was the one to do the kick off. Calne City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hitchin the free kick. After a rather tough play, Calne City's Ashraf Abou Fayouz got a free kick in the 61st minute. Nouh Ramiz struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Talib Ghanim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calne City. A collision led to Hitchin getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Qazim Qudamah hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Hitchin's goal looked a bit too open when Nouh Ramiz came free, but Talib Ghanim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Said Faraj notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Calne City's Yaser Zafir. Yaser Zafir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yaser Zafir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anwar Ghanim in the 75th minute of the match. If Anwar Ghanim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Hitchin's Masoud Abdul Qadir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yaser Zafir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Qazim Qudamah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yaser Zafir having to interfere. Nour al Din Abdul Basir kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Talib Ghanim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nouh Ramiz in the 93rd minute of the match. Hitchin's Talib Ghanim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nouh Ramiz in the 95th minute of play. Talib Ghanim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nouh Ramiz went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hitchin players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Calne City.
