Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sari Al Mehana kicked off to start the match. When Moner Al Shaikh fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dardanel FC's protests and gave Moner Al Shaikh a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dardanel FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Moner Al Shaikh hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Leigh's zone, Khalefa Mandane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Majed Al Matrok came out of the goal and Khalefa Mandane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Leigh's goal looked a bit too open when Khalefa Mandane came free, but Majed Al Matrok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leigh's Majed Al Matrok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalefa Mandane in the 11th minute of play. Khalefa Mandane struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Majed Al Matrok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dardanel FC. After 16 played minutes Leigh got a freekick which was hit by Yasser Al Ghanem. Majed Al Matrok came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Dardanel FC's Khalefa Mandane. But to his dismay, Khalefa Mandane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Rashed Al Mahmed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Khalefa Mandane made a precise shot to the right of Majed Al Matrok. Leigh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the Leigh defense, Khalefa Mandane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Majed Al Matrok. The Leigh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Majed Al Matrok should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute, Khalefa Mandane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dardanel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Sharf Al Hashash fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Majed Al Matrok having to interfere. Khalefa Mandane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Majed Al Matrok having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sari Al Mehana hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Khalefa Mandane shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, Leigh's Haider Al Fadhalah got a free kick in the 78th minute. With splendid footwork Khalefa Mandane arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-8 by the left pole in the game's 81st minute. Yazeed Bo Abbas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sajid Al Shaikh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Majed Al Matrok having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Sharf Al Hashash managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dardanel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sharf Al Hashash was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Dardanel FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leigh throughout the match.
