Gibrel Abol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match Mnawer Abo Al Hasan climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Gibrel Abol. Mnawer Abo Al Hasans short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Gibrel Abol to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 17 minutes into the game, El Arabi's Sanad Khorshed nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mnawer Abo Al Hasan might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gibrel Abol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mnawer Abo Al Hasan ran back to his position shaking his head. Pablo Galsino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Dunton Bassett's Gibrel Abol got control of the ball when Mnawer Abo Al Hasan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Pablo Galsino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute of the match, Derek Cooke tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gibrel Abol saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Dunton Bassett booed when El Arabi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sami Bo Shehri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamdan Dashti hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

El Arabi's Pablo Galsino got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gibrel Abol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mnawer Abo Al Hasan went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Mnawer Abo Al Hasan sped through Dunton Bassett's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gibrel Abol. Mnawer Abo Al Hasan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gibrel Abol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dunton Bassett's Gibrel Abol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derek Cooke in the 95th minute of play. Gibrel Abol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mnawer Abo Al Hasan's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. El Arabi's Sanad Khorshed got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Arabi's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
