The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match, Jamel Boyd tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hamzah Al Jalahma saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Hakem Boften had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 minutes, Rajab Al Asuosi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kentish Town and the Kuwait SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kentish Town getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rajab Al Asuosi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waheed Al Rodhan in the 12th minute of play forced Kuwait SC's goalkeeper Luai Al Banai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Kuwait SC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Rainer Arndt hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Meshal Al Naqi made a precise shot to the right of Luai Al Banai. Kuwait SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Waheed Al Rodhan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luai Al Banai having to make a save. Hamzah Al Jalahma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jamel Boyd in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute Meshal Al Naqi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luai Al Banai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kentish Town's zone, Jamel Boyd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamzah Al Jalahma came out of the goal and Jamel Boyd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ayoob Al Homaithe kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jamel Boyd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kuwait SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamel Boyd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamzah Al Jalahma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Jamel Boyd took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Hamzah Al Jalahma to make any attempt to save it.

The wind increased when Meshal Al Naqi made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Kuwait SC's Jamel Boyd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamzah Al Jalahma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After having played for 57 minutes, Jamel Boyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kuwait SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamel Boyd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Jamel Boyd sped through Kentish Town's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hamzah Al Jalahma. Kuwait SC's Jamel Boyd got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Kentish Town got a freekick which was hit by Rajab Al Asuosi. In the 70th minute, Hakem Boften got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jamel Boyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jamel Boyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Hakem Boften managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kuwait SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hakem Boften was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luai Al Banai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waheed Al Rodhan in the 83rd minute. Jamel Boyd struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Hamzah Al Jalahma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kuwait SC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jamel Boyd in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamzah Al Jalahma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jamel Boyd in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamzah Al Jalahma saved Kentish Town from getting behind. After some careless play in the Kentish Town defense, Jamel Boyd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamzah Al Jalahma. The Kentish Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamzah Al Jalahma should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Kuwait SC were the better team. Kuwait SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
