Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Norbert Matiba made the kick off which started today's match. Yobes Waruinge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson Chege in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Slim Team's Edward Wanjohi got a free kick in the 5th minute. Slim Team's Yobes Waruinge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Chege in the 9th minute of play. Yobes Waruinge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Kariuki in the 11th minute of play. When Fletching's Jefferson Chege in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Slim Team's goalie prevented a goal. Jefferson Chege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Yobes Waruinge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Kipchirchir Mutheu might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wangari Muta Mohamed. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Kipchirchir Mutheu ran back to his position shaking his head. If Norbert Matiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Chege recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Slim Team's Malcolm Kamani got a free kick in the 39th minute. Yobes Waruinge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Kariuki in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute Stephen Kariuki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yobes Waruinge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute, Jefferson Chege left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fletching fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jefferson Chege to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Fletching got a freekick which was hit by Myles Obondo. Fletching's Jefferson Chege got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Slim Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Kamani to maneuver through the defense. Yobes Waruinge made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Stephen Kariuki sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Fletching's Yobes Waruinge threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jefferson Chege, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 71st match minute, Slim Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julius Sulumeti to maneuver through the defense. John Waithaka was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Jefferson Chege who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slim Team's Yobes Waruinge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stephen Kariuki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Waruinge having to interfere. Stephen Kariuki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 87 in the game by Stephen Kariuki from a close distance when the talented Yobes Waruinge managed to make a qualified save. Slim Team's players were relieved. Mo Kobia hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Stephen Kariuki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Yobes Waruinge made a huge save. Stephen Kariuki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Waruinge having to interfere. Edward Wanjohi's late challenge caught a Fletching's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edward Wanjohi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Edward Wanjohi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fletching's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
