But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Kariuki couldn't finish the play. Ismael Yiampoy kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Stephen Kariuki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fletching's supporters rose to their feet, but Stephen Kariuki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Sitienei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Jefferson Chege's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Sitienei was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Jefferson Chege hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Stephen Kariuki in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philip Sitienei, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Stephen Kariuki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rich Warriors FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jefferson Chege was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 58 minutes into the match, Rich Warriors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Chege came free, but Philip Sitienei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Fletching's Stephen Kariuki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Sitienei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Rich Warriors FC's William Damji Pattni got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Rich Warriors FC's zone, Stephen Kariuki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Sitienei came out of the goal and Stephen Kariuki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. James Khadudu's late challenge caught a Rich Warriors FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. James Khadudu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, James Khadudu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fletching's Jefferson Chege in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rich Warriors FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute Jefferson Chege shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Sitienei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephen Kariuki scored 4-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Philip Sitienei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Fletching's Ismael Yiampoy got a free kick in the 86th minute. William Damji Pattni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rich Warriors FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
