In the 17th minute, Felix Popârcea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sofapaka Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Sofapaka Football Club's Henry Murunga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Karimi in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Waheto in the 25th minute of play forced Ashton Under Hill AFC's goalkeeper Antony Oliech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ashton Under Hill AFC's Faiz-Kevin Bungei got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Njuguna Odinga kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. John Karimi struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Henry Murunga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ashton Under Hill AFC. The audience was convinced that Kipchoge Ndereba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Murunga was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. A hard shot 35 in the game by Felix Popârcea from a close distance when the talented Antony Oliech managed to make a qualified save. Ashton Under Hill AFC's players were relieved. Antony Oliech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Popârcea in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Felix Popârcea notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ashton Under Hill AFC's Antony Oliech. Antony Oliech was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Ashton Under Hill AFC's John Karimi got a free kick in the 44th minute. The supporters of Sofapaka Football Club booed when Ashton Under Hill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Karimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billy Waheto to strike the kick off in the second half. Felix Popârcea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antony Oliech came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Sofapaka Football Club's Billy Waheto. But to his dismay, Billy Waheto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 69th minute, Billy Waheto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sofapaka Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Faiz-Kevin Bungei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Murunga having to interfere. Ashton Under Hill AFC's Antony Oliech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Popârcea in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Philip Ntalami made a precise shot to the right of Antony Oliech. Ashton Under Hill AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Sofapaka Football Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
